Anushka Singh is a Bollywood actor. She is one of the most highly paid actresses, and has been awarded numerous nominations for her performance. Anushka Sharma's parents were Kumar Sharma and Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is an officer in the colonel (retd.) The daughter of an homemaker. Karnesh Singh, the brother of Anushka and producer of films, served in the Merchant Navy. Anushka began auditioning for films and enrolled in an acting school along with her professional career as model. Anushka Sharma's acting debut was in the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan. In preparation for her screening, Anushka Sharma spent a full day. Then, she signed on to film three times in collaboration with Yash Raj Films. In the movie she played the role of a young bride of a middle-aged male (the character Shah Rukh Khan was playing). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka performed alongside Shahid Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". The film was met with mixed receptions. Anushka was also seen alongside Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat', in which she played an Punjabi middle class girl who started her own business. The movie received positive reviews and proved to be a surprise hit. Anushka's three-film deal with Yash Raj Films ended with the release of Band Baaja Baaraat.
